Many of you guys know how much I love to travel. Traveling to me is living. Seeing the world in a different way, a new beautiful way. So many places to see, so many photos to take – well, I may be partial to the photo taking part, but there is just something about capturing what you saw on this trip that you will remember for the rest of your life. One of the most unforgettable trips I have ever taken was my trip to Lily Beach Maldives earlier in April. I realized I never blogged about this trip, and I must correct this fatal error now.

I am so happy to have shared this awesome, amazing journey with one of the best – my all time best friend Bonan. Could not have had better company for such a long journey that first started in Dubai. We flew on Emirates in a comfortable cabin full of snacks and all you can watch movies. We wanted to do something different, something we have never done before in Dubai. So we opted to ride some camels in the desert. After all, how many times are you ever going to be in a real desert with real camels?

It was such an amazing experience. These animals are gorgeous. They were so well taken care of and so nice. We rode them for about an hour and a half into the desert and back and got to spend however long we wanted around them on our private ride. The tour guide offered us some camel milk afterwards. I had to try it… tasted kind of like soy milk? Maybe? Ha.

Up next was our trip to the Maldives. There are so many things I can say about the Maldives- but you can sum it up in once sentence. You must go there. Flying up to the islands is one of the most magical experiences. You can see all the private islands, hundreds of them, all nested with resorts – each island has its own resort. The whole trip there took about 20 hours with the Dubai layover, but there is no place like it!

We arrived at the Lily Beach Resort in awe. The water is so clear, so blue and it’s unlike anything we have ever seen. Truly just a joy and a treat. We spent the next week eating fresh sea food right out of the waters of the resort, snorkeling with thousands of beautiful fish and sea turtles, relaxing on the beach and walking around the island. It was an amazing trip! Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
