I have been falling in love with Cortnie and Jon for almost a year now. When it came time to wake up at 3:45 am to fly out to Chicago to photograph their wedding I was more than ecstatic. Every little detail and decor was done by Cortnie and her family, and the venue ended up looking like a fairy tale love story – except for the whole pouring rain that started 10 minutes before their ceremony – but I have never seen a bride more excited to marry her best friend, rain or shine. And I will tell you what, these kids know how to party and dance. I am going to make my husband take dance lessons from Jon and his friends. Ha. I loved seeing Jon tear up as he saw Cortnie in her gorgeous keyhole dress and hard a hard time not crying during their vows. I know this couple is going to have so much love and so many beautiful things as a family. Congratulations, and thank you so much for bringing me along to photograph the best day of your lives – it was truly an honor to be there with you both!
