The new Nikon D4s. WOW. I felt like I was coming home from a hospital with a new baby today. I even put the bag in the front seat instead of the trunk, you know, just in case… just so I can keep an eye on it. And maybe one hand on it as well!
I couldn’t wait to open it, and when I did, boy was I excited to snap away some photos. As many of you are aware, my slight obsession with anything the color of tiffany blue continues. So, why wouldn’t I take the first photos of some of my Tiffany & Co boxes and my own ring?? These were shot at f/5 at various bigh ISOs. I am very impressed with the ISO of 8000 on this camera. These images look about as good as some on the D700 at 1600. Fantastic quality, and I am very, very excited to try it out on people this weekend!
These images have been 100% straight out of the camera, 100% untouched other than the DNG conversion to JPG I had to perform due to Lightroom 5.3 not having the ability to read these files yet. Waiting on Lightroom 5.4 release for that! Settings were on auto white balance around 7PM at night. The Tiffany & Co box and ring set photos are shot from ISO 7,000 +.
This is another set of photos that I decided to take the first night of my camera ownership and expanded the ISO a little more. Still, beautiful images straight out of camera. 0 Editing. This was shot with my Nikon D4s and a 35mm 1.4G
